SIGMOD 2011 - Call for Workshop Proposals

It is a tradition that several SIGMOD-sponsored workshops are held together with the annual SIGMOD/PODS conference. The deadline for the receipt of proposals for SIGMOD-sponsored workshops to be co-located with SIGMOD/PODS 2011 is:

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Workshops will take place either before or after the SIGMOD/PODS conference, depending on room availability. In particular, it is expected that some workshops will take place on Sunday, June 12, two will take place on Monday, June 13, and some will take place on Friday, June 17. Workshop organizers may express preferences, but the workshops chair decides on the schedule. Workshops that run for anywhere between half a day and a full day are possible.

The logistics of the workshops will be done with the help from the SIGMOD 2011 organization. Specifically, SIGMOD 2011 will take care of facilities, catering, and registration for all workshops. To enable this, breaks must be coordinated.

The organizers of accepted workshops are required to announce the workshop and call for papers, solicit submissions, conduct the reviewing process, and decide upon the final workshop program. In addition, the workshops must prepare their proceedings on their own, and they must make their proceedings available for inclusion in the ACM Digital Library and SIGMOD DiSC.

Publication of calls for papers and participation as well as eventual workshop reports in SIGMOD Record are encouraged.

Further inquiries should be sent to the SIGMOD 2011 Workshops Chair:
